————————————————————————–Latest Update:Recieved a call on 14/10/05 from Ms Suchi Tel No.55558807,advising that as the signals are very week in the area / address where the phone is installed therefore she would issue necessary instructions to get the instrument changed. This one would be with an additional antena thereby restricting our mobility of carrying the instruments from one room to another room. Despite agreeing to her lobsided offer till date it is a pathetic state of affair.If you peole are not in a position to handle the issue then just withdraw the services& refund the total amount with interest. Till 13/10/05 the calls were beeng available in the incomming mode . Now even that facility has been with drawn.————————————————————————– Attention TATA INDICOM WALKY .- Consumer Affairs Deptt- Plz Rfr Our( complaint Nos-20475684,20532094,20590410- provided by your Ms. Kaur etc.) various calls to yr coustomer support, earlier e-mails & 14 visits by various representatives in approx past 40 days.( Most recent beeing one Mr Ram on 06/10/05 at 2:30 Pm)Balance 13 names of yr exec,with respective dates and timings with their remarks can be be made available to you if required.This connection belongs to a retired Joint Director of Ministry of Defence. Either activate it refund the total amount-asap.Your carelessness & incompetent service has braught harassment ,inconveniance and misery to a retd.class 1 gazeted officer of Govt of India. Rfr Govt. charter viz a viz Sr Citizen ,and various court rulings in such matters when produced before div. bench of consumer affairs- Followings are the relevent details.One cant even dial your customer care deptt from the telephone. Did you succeed ? Did you get any response from Ministry of Consumer Affairs / TRAI ?

I have a worse experience, chronologically so well documented... Can you tell me if I should post them on the net ?

Tata vsnl connection:
After giving ok service i gave tata broadband 2000 rs in advance in march and from april 1st i got the taste of hell and from april 11th there is complete shutdown. Customer service number is paid and not reachable deliberately as it is issue with most in city and known issue. They made me wait for long time announce to cut me off asking me to reach later. Several complaints were lodged asking to either give back my installation fee, deposit and account for the bills or give back the internet connection. They did not do either, I have raised the issue with trai(no use), sent several faxes and notices, reported to paper but no use. Finally july 16th they gave me the connection and also bill me? What happened to my 2000 advance and no internet. Again there was 2 week disruption and finally they cut my connection saying non payment of bill. When i sent across mails, they restored the connection and gave me downtime which is laughable. All this TRAI is copied but it does not seem to bother? I want to ask couple of questions
1. Why should i be cut off from Internet and not pay back my deposit and installation fee ?
2. Why charge me in for not having internet? who will pay my mobile bills(deliberately made to wait in queue). Why apoligize and not explain the bill and say that is final.

Here are the details:

Apart from numerous call ticket numbers, finally after 3 months i received a letter from TRAI ref TRAI dated 21st july. # 325-1/2006-CA(7). Refer to Ramanand, 10-3-66/10, humayun nagar hyd. After sending numerous mails to Communication ministry. As on today, they are yet to compensate me and explain, apologize in their letter head for the inconvienience, give us toll free number, and account for the bills. they cannot swindle public money. This is crime. Please someone act.

I had been offered a free mobile connection by BSNL (Calcutta Telephones) under the ‘Manik Jor’ scheme of the Calcutta Telephone whereby no monthly rent was payable by me on this connection. I was lured into accepting this offer. For almost a year I was charged no monthly rental & I never even used that connection. However, on 10/02/2009 I was sent a bill for Rs.45 in respect of this connection without any prior notice of any change in terms of scheme. To this I sent them a letter dt. 24/02/2009 requesting them to withdraw the service with immediate effect, thereby surrendering the connection.

Since then I have been sending letters to various offices of Calcutta Telephones but they refuse to cooperate and are not even willing to tell me if there are any formalities which I need to fulfill. At one of the offices I was told to deposit the letter at CR Avenue branch but the staff at CR Avenue refused to accept the letter. I have been facing immense troubles sending my staff from one office of Calcutta Telephones to another. The Calcutta telephone has not replied to my letter even once, leaving me harassed.

Again on 10/03/2009, I was sent a second bill for Rs.100 in respect of the same connection. I fail to understand as to how can they continue sending such bills to me when I have already surrendered the connection. I request you to look into the matter and take strict actions against the officers concerned(of Calcuta Telephones/ BSNL).

This kind of unprofessional & non-cooperative attitude is not acceptable. Such callous behaviour on the part of the Calcutta Telephone officers is deplorable & regrettable.

Thanking you, in anticipation of immediate redressal of my grievances.
